Essential tasks you can do right now!

1. Check your travel itinerary. Find out your flight times, including departure time and when to check in by, and add in plenty of extra time to get to the airport and for unexpected delays.

2. Book your travel insurance and choose one that covers you for horse-riding and Covid cancellations. We recomend getting your insurance booked as soon soon as you book your holiday. Being organised and getting this done usually means you won’t be out of pocket should you need to cancel your trip after paying a deposit.

3. Check the expiry date of your passport. Most countries require you to have at least three months validity after the date of your holiday and some countries require six months validity. Do allow plenty of time if you need a new passport. This can take up to ten weeks to complete.

4. For the more remote and far-flung destinations you must check visa requirements. For many detinations you can get your Visa on arival but some require you to apply to the embassy prior to travel.
