REASONS TO BOOK A RIDING HOLIDAY SOLO

Horse-riding trips tend to be all-inclusive affairs. All you need to do is get yourself to the airport and you will be met on arrival and taken care of until being dropped back at the airport on the final day. You won’t need to navigate foreign taxis, bus timetables or metros alone as you’ll be collected from arrivals and transported directly to your hotel. This really takes the pressure off as you can relax as soon as you set foot on the plane!

You’ll meet like-minded people – you will soon join a group of individuals, all with a passion for horses and travelling. You will all be riders and you will have all chosen the same trip, giving a basis of shared interest that makes socialising easy and relaxed.

Riding together is a great bonding experience as you get to know your fellow travellers along the trail. There is always lots to talk about over the dinner table after a day in the saddle. Riders often remain in touch and continue to travel together afterwards.

Many trails offer to waive the single supplement if you are willing to share with another rider. As most of the time is spent exploring on horseback you tend to not spend that much time in your room and often, the trail works out that being willing to share means you end up with your own room anyway at no extra cost.

No matter which trip you chose, heading off on a solo trip always feels adventurous. You’ll be stepping out of your comfort zone, to a place you have never been before, meeting new people that will leave lasting memories.  So our message is to go for it; travelling alone is an exciting and rewarding experience especially if it’s on horseback!
