Horse Riding Holidays in Namibia
Exploring the Namibian desert on horseback is one of the most exciting and challenging horse riding holidays in the world. From galloping across vast open plains to cantering up and down the sand dunes under a spotless blue sky, adventurous riders will love this journey across some of the most remote and dramatic desert terrain in the world.
Namibia Desert Crossing
One of the most challenging trail rides in the world. Fast riding across 400km taking in the wide open spaces of the Namib desert, the highlands and semi-desert sheep farms, through mountainous terrain and red sand dunes until finally reaching the Atlantic ocean. Camp in tents or sleep under the stars, this is an extreme riding experience for experienced riders craving a real adventure.
Camp out under the stars
One of the highlights of the trail is camping out with your horse under the star-filled Namibian sky. Tents are available but to camp under the stars is truly magical and something not many horse riding holidays offer. Although you will spend 8 nights camping wild, plenty of small luxuries are provided; ice in your sundowners, hot bucket showers and delicious food around companionable campfires. Camp life has an easy rhythm; wake up to the aroma of fresh coffee, have a hearty breakfast, saddle up, ride, lunch and rest, ride, sundowners, shower, delicious dinner, sleep and repeat.
